Yes, the terms are used interchangeably. Both refer to defining and cleaning up your hairline edges without doing a full cut.

How often should I get a lineup?

Every 1–2 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows. Many clients come in for a lineup between their full cuts to keep their look sharp.
